Door HandlesWhen it comes to choosing handles for doors, you will be amazed at the large selection of choices. Today, door handles come in all types of materials, sizes, shapes, designs, and finishes, changing the complete look of not just the door, but also the entire room. In this article, we wanted to walk you through some of your options for door handles, showing you how to transform any door into something spectacular.

First, there is the lever latch type, door handle, which is used for general purposes. This door handle has a plain back plate, which is fitted with a mortise latch. Typically used for doors leading to the outside such as a French door, this would be used as a lever lock with a key hole on the back late. Now, keep in mind that a lever latch door handle can also be used for an internal door although this is not as common.

Then you have what is called a bathroom set, door handle. As the name suggests, this type of door handle is most commonly used for bathroom doors. The handle has a thumb turn, which is fitted on the back plate. This then locks the lever handle in place. With this type of door handle, you can also choose from a design that features an emergency release on the outside door. This would be beneficial if you have small children or elderly people in the home that might find themselves stuck inside.

Next, there is the privacy lock, door handle that uses a mortise latch. For this option, it locks the lever handle in place. As with the bathroom type door handle, you can also choose a design with an emergency release on the outside.
